How to enroll in benefits due to a qualifying life event

 
 

What is a qualifying life event?

Qualifying life events include (but are not limited to): address change, newborn, adoption, becoming a U.S citizen, death, divorce, gain custody of a dependent, lose eligibility of Medicare/Medicaid, loss of coverage, and return from military leave.

If you have a qualifying life event and would like to enroll in insurance benefits, please follow the steps below.

  1. On your dashboard, select Benefits.

  2. Click Change My Benefits - I would like to change coverage.

  3. Qualifying Life Event: Yes

  4. Event: Select from the dropdown (e.g. marriage, address change, etc.)

  5. Event Date: Fill in date of qualifying life event (i.e. wedding date, adoption date, etc.)

  6. Click Continue.

  7. Follow the enrollment steps and you will be prompted to manage your benefits.

  8. Sign your enrollment form(s).
