The IRS expanded the list of preventive services and prescription drugs provided by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) for certain chronic conditions.
Effective July 17, 2019, Notice 2019-45 provides information regarding preventive care services and items for individuals with specific chronic conditions.
An HDHP is permitted to provide preventive care benefits without a deductible or, subject to applicable law, with a deductible below the minimum annual amount.
